My faves (in no particular order) include (but aren't limited to): THE BEATLES, LED ZEPPELIN, PINK FLOYD, U2, FLEETWOOD MAC, YES, SANTANA, STEELY DAN, STP, SOUND GARDEN, PEARL JAM, PETER GABRIEL, TEARS FOR FEARS, INXS, RUSH, ELO, ETC, ETC, ETC...

Yeah, it sounds like we probably have a lot of CDs in common. Fleetwood Mac is another favorite of mine, as well as ELO. And I have been on a huge Tears For Fears kick lately. Somehow I didn't notice they got back together and released a new album a few years ago (2004). I've been listening to that a lot lately. Sounds like The Beatles often.

Whoa there THS!
Dont get me wrong Brutha, Radiohead are a class act. They are a massively influential band that smashed Britpop to smithereens.

I saw them years back when they supported James at Glasgow Barrowland just after Creep was released and years later at Glasgow Green when they were at the top of their game. Both times they were outstanding. And OK Computer and The Bends are two of my favourite albums of all time.

I just think personally that they havent bettered these two albums since they went all experimental on us. I only wish they would return to the more guitar based music formula.

I know Smokin, Im kiddin. The Bends and Ok Computer were more widley appreciated than the others. I don't know what Radiohead are like outside of the studio, but I've only liked them for a few months your opinion is more valid than mine.

I like all their albums though, even Kid A and Amnesiac. If you liked the style music from Ok compuer and The Bends then try Hail to the Thief. Its not all electronic and strange. I'm sure you'll like that one more.

Aussies think alike.most of this would be on my list, except for the cat empire tongue

Throw in System of a Down and Beastie Boys from ninos list.
Foo Fighters,ELO, Janis Joplin,The Hives,The Vines, Janes Addiction,The Pretenders,Seether,Damien Rice,Arctic Monkeys,Panic at the Disco, lots more but it depends on my mood.

Best band that Ive seen live(Ive seen plenty-am old) would be
Beastie Boys!!11!!
followed in no particular order by, The Killers,System of a Down,Foo Fighters,Janes Addiction, the Strokes,The Hives, Kings of Leon...

I've had my heart broken too many times by favourite bands sounding like crap live...best example-The White Stripes... Queens of the Stoneage didn't impress either but it could have had to do with the state i was in at the time. Shocked

Very nice selection Sham, nice to hear The Babys, Peter Gabriel,Genesis and Supertramp again along with everything else. We should all go over to playlist.com and make our all time favourite top ten playlist and post it here. It only takes a minute to join there.
You'd have to post them each on seperate threads though because the playlist just starts when the thread is opened and we'd end up with everyones music playing at once. Anyone in??? I'd need some time to think about my top 10 scratch

WTF, Thanks dear! A top ten would be tough for me. I could do a top 100 maybe. Smile

Blonde, Thanks hon! I like your faves. I'm a HUGE Beatles fan too. Check out the Rufus Wainwright version of "Across the Universe" if you haven't (have to scroll down). It is dreamy.

Sham, Right now I'm listening to your theme Music.
I did get a bit startled though, when I suddenly heard music coming out of my speakers. I was not used to having that on this site. Very Happy

Well Chris Isaak and his Band are my most favorite of all time. I love seeing him in concert. His CD is always in my player when I go somewhere.
I also love Elvis, and I got to see him in Concert for his last time too. I like the Beatles,Oldies(50's & 60's) mostly. I like Smooth Jazz too. Way too much to list really, I am really enjoying your selections.

This site has it all now. Thanks cheers

Talk about your coincidences, my son has been wanting to get Fiona Apples
version of" Across the Universe" from the movie Pleasantville. I couldn't find it anywhere so I bought it at iTunes. I like the version you have too. It has been playing over flower and over in my mind ever since I heard it.

OK, I'm discovering that playlist.com's search engine just plain sucks.

There is hardly any Chris Isaak and it's tough finding Beatles tunes.
