Anyone like comics???

I`m a huge comic book geek and was wondering if anyone else was aswell? I`m partial to Marvel Comics and my Favorite right now would be... New Avengers, Mighty Avengers, Thunderbolts, and Iron man. Am I alone in reading comics? We know the writers are fans.

But I do have some of the original, single digit issue-number comics of Spiderman from waaaaaay back when.

I dont read them so much, but I almost always go to the movies. For example, I cannot WAIT for Dark Knight

I am into Superman, and Supergirl (but don't ask me about which Supergirl as that will drive me nuts).

I have been collecting the Superman series (Action, Man of Tomorrow and Superman) since (amd this dates me) the issue when Lois broke off the engagement to Superman/Clarke.

What annoys me though is that the most major events in the continuity occur outside the main titles, most recently Jimmy Olsen finding out about Clarke's secret identity.


Still I love the on going intrigues of Superman amd this makes me happy. Although I really do not think that Wonder Woman has enough respect for Lois.

i used to spend my childhood drawing comics and spider man is my fav.

frank millers dark knight returns
alan moore watchmen...which is phenomenal in its comic book method of story tellin...

fav artists would be ...frank miller again especially when hes teamed with artist and colourist, lynn varley

did anyone hear about alan moores comic based on a story tellin technique based on chaos theory

I agree that Frank Miller's work is lush.

I also have lots of Alan Class (Sinister Tales, Mystery Tales (As seen in LOST recently) and the issue which Walt was reading (in English).

Watchmen (one of Damon's faves) that epic, is being filmed as I type! can't wait! plus I wonder how they are doing Dr.Manhattan?

I've got so much Vertigo in me i cant stand straight.

Hells yeah, I've been a comics adict ever since i was 12 spending all my allowance on X-Men. I lived one block away from a comics shop and spent Wwwwwaaaaayyyy too much time there.

hope they incude the backstory...loved the back story and the way it wove itself into the main story line.

vincent, my favorite character would be wolverine.

and my favorite sagas so far is civil war, i have other favorite sagas like house of m, dark phoenix, unslaught, age of apocalypse. and so on,

and about dc my favorite was the death of superman, my favorite character from dc is batman thats it.

Nino civil war was the best story i have read. Brian Micheal Bendis is a writing God, The new Skrull invasion so far is awsome, and wolvie is very cool! Stitch i`m not a big dc fan but love Smallville. Oh and Superhero movies rock!!!

vincent i have heard about the skrull invasion maybe well get it next year here, hopefully, right now here we have planet hulk i cant wait till he gets back to earth. civil war was and excellent story and yes mr bendis is an excellent writer, honestly in civil war i tought that captain america was gonna be in favor of the new law but i was wrong.

Nino, Have you read all Civil War? I don`t want to spoil anything but the Cap Iron man struggle was fantastic. Planet Hulk was awsome alot happens when he gets back to earth, Also have you read illuminate??? Great read!

vincent, yes i have read all the civil war except front line its till on my shelf, yes the struggle with the cap and iron man was intense all there fights including the last one,

the illuminati i havent read it but i know that where it starts planet hulk. dont spoil it for me

Really Lateralus I haven`t heard that but I was also stupid enough to leave the movie before the end of the credits. Ironman did so well there going to do a Thor movie a Cap movie and then an Avengers movie, heheheh I`m giddy. Nino I won`t say athing except that the illuminate explains alot of Marvels past including Planet Hulk and leads perfectly into the skrull invasion.

I read on i think www.darkhorizons.com that Matthew McConaghy(sp?) is going to play Cap in Captian America : The First Avenger.

Sorry didn`t mean to spoil nino. Havn`t heard that about cap lateralus, not sure I like the casting I was thinking Matt Damon. As far as Sam Jackson i saw it online aswell verrry cool! More so because in Marvels Ultimit books Nick Fury was drawn after Sam Jackson, hopefully he will be in all the Marvel movies, Like Tony Stark making a camio in the new Hulk!!!
