LoL, CJ... I can only image the things you said before you edited. The comms for this are only 60 seconds, which is pretty awesome. So far, I'm kinda loving this show.... a little confusing, but... not bad.

Not horrible... the writing of dialogue is about as brilliant as it gets. I would say that the dialogue of this episode so far rivals that of Lost and is almost better.

As for clues and hints, this show is packed full of them. So far, I have counted a total of 5 possible clues to something in the future. Random things I have noticed that don't belong.

The plot though, so far, from what I've seen... is very similar to Lost. I would write a list, but... I don't want to spoil anything. The situations are similiar.

I love the direction/cinematography of this show. It is really quite amazing.

The main character girl, I think, could kick Kate's ass any day.

Josh Jackson's character somewhat annoys me.

Lance Reddick is so awesome.

Oohhhhh the end was a shockfest!

The previews look pretty kick-ass.

Overall, it is pretty far out there, but I expected that. Fringe really pretty much explains the concept of the show when they explained what Fringe is. I'm not 100% sold on it, but I'm close. I think, it seems, that this show is a very good mix of Alias/Lost/X-Files.

What did other people think, I'm curious!

I thought most of it was awesome..

I had written but must have lost the post with another post going on.

I was able to call the ending due to one clue! LOL!

Nicknamed it Fringles.

She is very good in this part.

So far, it looks like JJ has hit another one out of the park! I like the concept of the show, and I like all of the characters, in particular Joshua Jackson.

I would agree with Cosmic Jewels, Anna Torv is wonderful in this series.

Lance Reddick sounds so much like Boris Karloff! Totally suits his character as the 'mad scientist'! lol!

I will at this point, definitely continue to watch!

I'm not sure what to think so far. I was not an X-files fan and this show did remind me of that (but in a less annoying way)

I liked the Dr. Bishop & son characters and thought the story was told well. I had (probably too) high expectations for the show, but that's my problem, not theirs.

I'll give it another week to see if it hooks me a little more.

Dab, Lance Reddick is Abaddon's real life name. Lance Reddick isn't the "mad scientist."

I called the ending too on a clue, CJ, but forgot about it by the end of the episode when it happened. LoL.

Correct, it is John Noble. I had Lance Reddick on the brain! Forgive my error!

The interaction between Walter and Son was written, and acted, very well. One of the highpoints in the show if you don't count Bessie. Miss Moo. Wink

Only one character I did not like. AbbaDabbaDooMan. He seemed to overplay the role. Just a bit.

I liked the casting of John Noble as Dr. Walter Bishop. He was also in The Lord Of the Rings movies in the role of Denethor. He is a good actor, but played a despicable character in LOR.

I didn't touch it today. I was pretty busy. I told you, I was on a week and a half hiatus. Haha, a few more days. It could, maybe, be out by tomorrow night, but more likely Friday. Thursday night I will be out of town, as I have a hot date.

ksj, nice use of sheila there! sounded very casual, i take it that's not your first time. Smile

jw, it's an australian slang word for a lady.

and to be honest, i'm just happy that they cast kirk acevado from oz in fringe... about time he came back! he makes me happy, in a squirmy way. I love you

Isn't it funny but being used to the word sheila, I had never thought of it as being slang! Fair dinkum!

I reckon that today's weather was bonza, on my way home from Clayton I hopped off at Richmond and walked home via Rod Laver and Fed Square. It was just nice to soak up some rays.

Stitch

For my Non- Aussie brothers and sisters

Fair dinkum
adjective (pos=fair dinkum, -)

  1. (context, Australian English, slang) genuine, honest, fair and square

Are you ?. - are you telling me the truth ? ; do you really mean that ?
Etymology: An anon wrote: I've been told that this term orginated in the Victorian Goldfields during the goldrush of the 1850'sMany Chinese immigrated to Victoria during the goldrush years.Dinkum derives from a chinese slang phrase meaning "is it real gold" whichwas adopted by the white anglo-saxon prospectors....the plausibility of this is bruised by 'real gold' not having much to do with the meaning of dinkum, which is 'work'-->

God I love this site! I learn more words every day. Fair Dinkum!

"No worries"........dont ask me why, but ever since I was a little girl I have used the term "no worries" in place of "your welcome" or "understood". And always with an Aussie accent. I have been asked many times, when saying it, if I am from Oz lol. Maybe I was a kangaroo in a past life.
