A confession Empty A confession

Post by SomeArztOnYou Wed Sep 17, 2008 12:20 am

Okay guys, I can't believe I'm bringing myself to actually admit this one, but it's a big occasion and maybe it'll just get Lost in the shuffle, but...

My brother and mother were into Lost, and were trying to get my dad into it as well, so they suggested Season One as a birthday present. The last time I ever got to really see my dad, he let me borrow it. After the first minute I was hooked, and I watched all the episodes very quickly, then started watching the ones online, desperate to catch up so I could see it live. I was completely caught up by - get this - "The Economist." I haven't even been watching the show for a full calendar year.

Would anyone have guessed it?

I would have NEVER guessed that ARZT. Cute though & made me laugh.

O.K. I guess this is my chance then.

Blonde Confession: I hate Science Fiction. I hate the smoke monster & when the "monster" first appeared, I made fun of LOST to all my friends, but secrectly stuck with it (thank God). I thought the monster was dumb. NO BLONDE-BASHING!!!! This is the confession post.

I'm sure you're glad you stuck with it. As I'm glad I found Lost.

I didn't know much about it beforehand at all, just that it was a bunch of people stranded on a desert island - one of them a fat guy who was not losing any weight for some reason (which was explained, thankfully).

What! Thats crazy. Well I guess it means that you've got fresher memory of all the episodes.

And while we're on confessions...

I was on lost-theories when it opened up again for a few days after Jcroft closed it. And I saw the link to this site that someone recommended and I didn't go on it, I thought it would be terrible and that nothing was as good as lost theories. In the words of Locke 'I was Wrong' But I saw it advertised again so I went on it. And the rest is history.

I second that

You are a really cool kid. I think a lot about the fact that you are only 8 years older than my 5 year old (really 7) b/c his b-day is next week. I just can't imagine that 7 years could make such a difference. What is your secret? Did you read a lot as a kid? Private school? Spill...

Ok can't you remember when you were in little school and you saw all the big people in secondary school. Seven years ago I was in year 3, that seems like an eternity to me. Thats over half of my life. Seven years might not seem as much to you because you've lived longer than that. But trust me it's a lot to me.

And yes I read a lot. A lot... A lot. I still do.
